Su Huntley & Donna Muir
A collaborative duo working through drawing, painting, digital design and video we create intensely personal, often witty work inspired by the unintended beauty of the everyday. By gender, news, social media, politics, protest, TV, music, film and the irony and pathos of 21C living. Our world is a surreal stream of mind images, fleeting glimpses, still moments, dreams and drama, things real and imagined, mythic and ordinary from pet rats to red shoes. Reflections of our unfathomable world.
Exhibitions: Several solo shows in London and L.A. And Group shows in London, L.A and New York. With work in public and private collections.
Awards include a Grammy nomination, a Cleo, D&AD silver and golds, Los Angeles, New York and Toronto Art Directors Awards, The Munich Biennale Music Theatre Prize & an Olivier Award.
Canadian born Donna Muir studied at Central Tech Toronto and Brighton College of Art, working as an artist and illustrator in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and London where she now lives.
Su Huntley graduated with a BA from St Martins School of Art & an MA from The Royal College of Art and practiced as an illustrator, reportage artist, graphic designer and visiting tutor at the RCA before forming Huntley Muir with Donna in 1984.
